International Leadership Ministries is a 501 (c)3 non profit 47-4411870 established in 2016. We serve the people of Honduras through the efforts and work of teams that join us with abilities to serve, teach, build and encourage.  Our primary goal is to comfort the poor with the good news of Jesus and meet physical needs.

The establishment was based on a vision through the various opportunities that involve reaching, helping and serving the indigenous people of Honduras .  Our goals are to present ways to empower the people and reach the poorest of the poor with love, care and God's Word.

The heart of ILM, is to make an impact that will last a life time. "To bring about change, you must not be afraid to take the first step. We will fail when we fail to try" -Rosa Parks.

Each day we take new steps leaning towards new goals, new ideas and better ways of helping people.  It's the establishment that keeps going forward  and making a difference.

Facts about Honduras:

The Republic of Honduras is situated in Central America. It shares borders with Nicaragua to the south, El Salvador to the south-west and Guatemala to the north-west.

Honduras has a total population of around 9 million people of which roughly 1.2 million live in Tegucigalpa, the country's capital.

More than half the people live below the national poverty line; approximately 43 per cent of them suffer conditions of extreme poverty. Malnutrition, poor housing infrastructure and infant diseases are widespread and serious problems.

Another major problem in Honduras is the phenomenon of gang violence. The "maras", violent streets gangs, often take over entire streets and barrios. They specifically attract minors, who are predominantly recruited in poor neighborhoods where young adults have nothing to lose.

Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Latin America with nearly two thirds of the nation's population living below the poverty line. It's estimated there are over 170,000 orphans in Honduras.

We also make it a priority to come alongside the Honduran nationals and work with them as they serve their own people. Our desire is to reach the Honduran people and give them hope for a future that we believe they can achieve.
